Small Hours - @karolina.trapp
Small hours are the in-between moments; they are “small” – insignificant. They fail to define an era, they are not historic, they do not inspire photojournalists. But these ordinary moments have beauty that can be fascinating to a street photographer. A commuter lost deep in his thoughts, a trick of light and rain turning man into bicycle (or maybe he’s playing ball?), a paradox of an accidental meeting – such dream-like moments and evocative scenes are all great fodder for the imagination. As Diane Arbus once said, “A picture is a secret about a secret” and I revel in the mystery, enjoying my own totally subjective interpretations of – ordinary and yet wonderful – everyday.
