“Passersby” is a series exploring the urban environment —the people and experiences of our everyday lives as we move about the city. The photos examine the layers in-between —the many mysteries and ambiguities of the world around us. The people in these photos are hidden, opaque or askew. By looking through filters of various kinds or using reflections and distortion, the photos offer a transformed view - highlighting the coverings and veils that both conceal and protect.
