Silver Medal in the category « Urbex & Minimalism »
I am a self-educated photographer from Hannover, Germany with a special way of seeing. My world is two-dimensional and poor in detail due to a disorder of the optic nerves since my birth.
Through the medium of photography I approach and go beyond the limits of my vision.
In photography I have two passions: Minimal and Street photography. Both genres influence each other.
For my current minimal work "Loosing one dimension" I explore the fragile moment of transition, in which three-dimensional architecture dissolves into the two-dimensional and abstracts.
For this I use, among other things, the superimposition of several buildings, or typical elements of the cityscape such as advertising signs, bollards or cars.
I find my motives in normal residential areas, arterial roads and industrial areas.
In this series I juxtapose some of my street photos with their abstractions.
