There is a Turkish idiom related to life, “Hayat bir gündür" which translates to "Life is a single day". This expression reflects the idea that life is fleeting and passes quickly, and it emphasizes the importance of living in the present moment by making the most of the time we have. In a life that often feels rushed and consumed by responsibilities and distractions, it’s a mindset that promotes cherishing our experiences and living with purpose and I think that somehow it shares a parallelism with the act of taking street photographs. Just as life swiftly passes, street photography aims to freeze transient moments in time. It seeks to encapsulate the essence of everyday life, the fleeting gestures, emotions, and interactions that may otherwise go unnoticed. This series draws inspiration from this concept as ultimately, both encourage us to cultivate a deeper awareness of the world around us, celebrate life's fleeting moments, and create lasting impressions that resonate beyond our single day.
