The name of this series is "Shanghai Street in Black and White." Over the past few years, I have been living in Shanghai, which is a vibrant and colorful city. I capture the colorful side of this city while also documenting its black and white aspect. Black and white photography is quite different from color photography; it requires a focus on more abstract elements such as light, shadows, contours, lines, and tones during the shooting process. Through this set of high-contrast photos, I aim to showcase the lesser-known side of Shanghai, evoking emotions of starkness, humor, and detachment.
