The photo was taken in the "Les Marolles" neighborhood of Brussels. I saw this man approaching from a distance walking calmly. I could see that he didn't seem to care at all about the bruised expression on her face and his hands, supposedly the result of a brutal fight, as if it were part of his daily life. I was struck by the huge difference between his appearance and his relaxed attitude. The woman with the ice cream cart looks at the man with restrained disapproval. Another man from the neighborhood appears looking away, bursting into the scene. Behind there are buildings, traffic signs and in the background a colorful tent with a box of vegetables that give us clues about what this street is like.
