Traveling from Udaipur to Jodhpur one afternoon by taxi, I spotted a gentleman walking along the side of the road wearing a bright red turban wrapped in traditional Rajasthani fashion, known as Pagari. I frantically asked my driver to stop and quickly ran over to photograph the man. This was easier said than done as I do not speak a word of the local language. As I was taking the photo, a woman walked into the background wearing a brightly-colored sari carrying a bundle of sticks on her head, which I felt added a beautiful symmetry to the image along with a sense of motion.
