Gold Medal in the category « Urban Street Art »
This series by visually impaired photo artist Guido Klumpe is about small things that make a big difference. A bird on the roof, two leaves in a puddle, a line on a lamppost.
Guido Klumpe, born in 1971 in Osnabrück, has lived in Hanover, Germany since 2006.
He has been working for many years in the border areas between abstract, minimalist and street photography.
Due to his congenital visual impairment, he perceives the world in a special way.
"I see the city as an urban landscape. A landscape made of shapes, colors, reflections and light.
I love to find and show the mysterious and absurd in our urban spaces - but also its very own hidden beauty."
His photographs have won many awards, been published and shown in solo and group exhibitions in Europe.
