A faint sense of unease breathes quietly within stillness.

A turned back, a view seen through a barrier, a space that evokes someone’s absence―

I find myself drawn to these subtle distortions that appear in the midst of the everyday.

Even as I seek peace of mind, I sometimes find a strange sense of comfort in the slight tension born from such unease.

Perhaps stillness is not the absence of sound, but a time when unseen things quietly stir.

This series of works is an attempt to carefully gather what lies between stillness and dissonance, piece by piece.

What appears in the images does not speak loudly.

It simply stands there, hoping to faintly reach the viewer’s memory and emotion.
