In recent years, social media has had a significant impact on the way people choose their travel destinations, influencing their decisions and shaping their choices. Platforms such as Instagram, TikTok and YouTube have helped create a phenomenon known as Instagrammable tourism, in which travellers choose destinations primarily because they are photogenic and popular on social networks. This phenomenon has led to a large increase in tourism concentrated in a few iconic places, creating problems of Overcrowding. I am slightly disappointed by this, but then I think that, honestly, I too benefit from the opportunities offered by mass tourism.
