While cutting through a sleepy Goan village during the Narkasura festival, I suddenly found myself face-to-foot with the biggest toes I’ve ever seen. Enormous papier-mâché feet were casually lounging around like they owned the street,-some propped against houses, some sunbathing on the mud, others waiting for their shift on the demon’s body. It was one of those perfect street-photography moments where the bizarre appears without warning.
