A human figure and a goose walk side by side along a forked path, immersed in a quiet and suspended landscape. Their steps are similar, almost mirrored, as if one were the reflection of the other. Then, at a certain point, they part ways. The image captures the moment just before the separation, evoking the mystery of resemblance and the bond between human and animal.

I took this photograph on a March afternoon while walking in the park near my home. At one point, I saw a woman walking along the path, and a goose joined her: they walked side by side for a while, with a surprisingly similar gait. Then each took a different direction and they parted. It made me think about how animals are much more like us than we often realize.
